TCP/IP Networking

September - December 2008
Prof. Jean-Yves Le Boudec
Goals
“In this lecture you will learn what is behind surfing the net”
- Lectures: Learn and understand the concepts of the Internet and related networking protocols. Get more feeling about the goals (in 4 slides).
- Practical Exercises: Test and clarify your understanding of the networking concepts by:
- connecting computers to form a LAN, few networks interconnected by routers and few interconnected autonomous routing domains.
- developing and implementing a variant of TCP that boosts the performance of your TCP connections.
